In case you missed it, Tanji, an Emmy-winning journalist who pursues her love of wine and food on her online television site “Good Taste with Tanji”, stopped by The Fish to taste our amazing dishes and to chat with our Executive Chef Harold Wong! The Fish has been open for 13 years, and has become a local favorite known for its creative specialty rolls. Tanji got a chance to experience some of Chef Wong’s top picks for fall, expanding the already extensive menu to new limited edition features.

The first one she sampled was the Blazing Tuna (pictured at the top of this post), which includes smoked salmon, soft shell crab, cream cheese and jalapeño, topped off with fresh avocado, spicy tuna and wasabi tobiko.

Next up was the edamame hummus, which comes plated with fresh pita bread with wonton chips, topped with tamago furikake.

Japanese-Crudo-1024x683Another favorite is the Japanese Crudo. This ‘cold plate’ has a new look with Japanese snapper, citrus sauce, topped with fresh herbs, yuzu tobiko–all in a grape reduction for only $9!

Bento-Box-1024x683Lunch anyone? Tanji tried out one our of warm dishes, the Lunch Bento Box, containing glazed pepper salmon with crispy Brussels sprouts, plus soup, salad, rice AND two veggie rolls. Other options for the lunch bento box include chicken teriyaki, chicken katsu, beef teriyaki, BBQ short ribs, jalepeño scallops, shrimp tempura, beef ribeye rolls, and kobe burger.

Overall, Tanji gave The Fish rave reviews, encouraging her viewers to get down to The Fish, pronto! You should listen to her, she’s an expert!
